Two Volkswagen Models Named "Best Values in America"

Late last month, Volkswagen of America, Inc. proudly reported that the company had two vehicles win awards in Vincentric's "Best Value in America™." The Beetle took top honors in the Compact segment, while the Passat topped the Midsize category.

These awards are given to the vehicles that Vincentric determines represent the best value in an automotive segment, with the company measuring cost-of-ownership through eight factors and using a statistical analysis that includes the current market price and total ownership cost of all 2019 model year vehicles. The vehicles that are statistically shown to have lower-than-expected ownership costs within their respective segment and price category are determined to be Best Values. In total, the company looked at more than 3,000 vehicle configurations across the 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia, to find their winners.

2019 marks the final model year for the iconic Volkswagen Beetle, while the Passat continues to showcase the sophisticated style, European performance, and advanced technologies that have made it one of the most popular sedans in the country.

In a press release, Scott Keogh, CEO, Volkswagen Group of America, Inc., remarked, "We are thrilled with these awards for Beetle and Passat. We have made great strides towards reducing the overall cost of ownership of our cars in recent years, and these awards reflect the hard work that has occurred throughout the organization."
